How to Sail to Alaska | Joanna Ludlow | TEDxTerryTalks
Despite having learnt how to sail only 6 weeks prior, Joanna and her friend boarded an 18 foot catamaran in Port Townsend, Washington with a mind to make it 750 miles to Ketchikan, Alaska. Here, she shares her story and explores the joys and perils of of Type II fun, and the conquering of her fear of death (slightly tongue-in-cheek).
Joanna Ludlow is an alumnus of the University of British Columbia, and employee at UBC’s Enrolment Services. She is also currently pursuing a Masters in Conflict Analysis at Royal Roads University.
