Special Presentation of “They Go To Die”
The Universities Allied for Essential Medicines and the Neglected Global Diseases Initiative will be presenting the fascinating documentary “They Go to Die” at 4 pm on Friday, October 21st at the Norm Theatre in the Student Union Building. The film follows four South African men that were sent home from their work in a gold mine after contracting TB. The movie is about health, human rights, legalities, love, family, and ultimately – life and humanity. This film was created by Jonathan Smith, a Yale graduate, Yale faculty member, and a man who has worked extensively across the world in his area of interest – ethnography and public health.
