The International Student Energy Summit is a global, multi-disciplinary forum for students to discuss their role in the transition to a sustainable energy future. The inaugural ISES was hosted by the University of Calgary in 2009 and drew over 400 students and sustainability/energy experts from 25 countries. Keynotes included Vicente Fox (the former President of Mexico) as well as Alex Steffen (founder and executive editor of Worldchanging.com).
ISES created a network of driven, passionate individuals looking to make a real difference in the energy sector and the momentum is continuing with the second ISES to be hosted in Vancouver next June.
